About Nathan
I’m a military musician who’s as passionate about cameras and photography as much I am about music. I have been playing music for seven years and playing with cameras for six. When I was 15, my Lolo (grandfather) gave me my very first DSLR, a Nikon D80. He taught me all the basics and techniques of photography and whenever we got the chance, we would go out with our cameras and shoot.
Marine Musicians have a common saying; “Marines First, Musicians Second.” I like to think of myself as a Marine First, Musician Second, and Passionate Photographer Third.
Photography allows me to unleash visual creativity, something I don’t always get to do when playing on the concert stage. Just like the thrill of live performance, the satisfaction of telling stories through imagery is something I believe can’t be beat.
